Under the old name of Goa powder this drug has been in use in India for many years as an external application, and has obtained for itself a considerable reputation for its efficacy in curing cases of " ringworm," especially that form familiarly known as " dhobie's itch." Rubbed oil the affected spot, previously moistened with glycerine, Goa powder gives almost immediate relief to the intense itching, and a few applications seldom fail to effect a cure.
